Development of Unmanned Aerial Vehicles UAVs and Ground Control Station (GCS)

The experience gained from the research and development in this special field as well as the professional competence of the engineers of our enterprise have provided a solid basis for building of modern drones which comply with the requirements for quality. The core of our development concept is that we build drones for specific tasks capitalising on the national resources to the greatest extent possible.

The complex system comprises jointly the unmanned aerial vehicle, the software and the ground control station.


Since 2014 our Company has started two unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) concept with flying wing that follows two directions:

  • Nemere XR-01 - Surveillance UAV
  • Orkán XS-01 - Search and remote sensing UAV

The two concepts differ from each other by the measures, efficiency and payload.


NEMERE (XR-01) – Search and surveillance UAV


This UAV is suitable for mainly conducting public service (disaster relief, police, border security and customs administration) missions and tasks. It is able to identify, observe and track persons and vehicles from an altitude of 200–300 meters.

  • Minimum/maximum speed: 50/100 km/h

  • Payload: moveable and stabilised analogue camera (day and night viewing) with zoom function.

ORKAN (XS-01) – Search and remote sensing UAV

This versatile UAV is suitable for conducting public service (disaster relief, police, border security, tax and customs administration) and civilian (guarding and protection, agriculture, industry, transport, environmental protection, meteorology, geodesy, cartography) missions and tasks.

According to the requirements this UAV might be equipped with high resolution day and night camera or thermo imager and different multispectral sensors. The UAV starts by a bungee and lands optionally with parachute. Propulsion unit is an electromotor.

  • Maximum altitude of flight: 2000 m
  • Minimum/maximum speed: 50/100 km/h
  • Range: 20 km

  • Guidance: remote control and autopilot (programmed flight route, loitering, immediate return to base)
  • Payload: moveable and stabilised analogue or digital videocamera with zoom function and remote sensing (multispectral) sensors.

UAV - Ground Control Station (GCS)

The UAV GCS is rapidly deployable, easy to operate and fully portable. Integrated into a Peli Case, the GCS meets all the applicable strict requirements and is resistant to water and dust. The two control monitors of the Ground Control Station display the flight plan and the real-time video stream transmitted by the UAV.


Target UAVs

Since 2007 our company has dealt mainly with development and use of target UAVs in order to keep the operational capability and special skills of the Hungarian Air Defence Forces. One of them is Meteor-3MA, which is able to carry pyrotechnic appliances, Luneberg reflector and camera.
